The View From the Beach

View From the Beach was started in late 2006 as a way to provide our friends, clients, and business associates with easy access to information about Bali in general and the local property and tourism trade in particular.

The contributors are all Bali-based expats working in property and tourism. We add entries when the mood strikes or to provide re-prints of articles we publish elsewhere; newsworthy items, and a bit of eye candy, are also sporadically in order.

The blog format was chosen to give people access to syndicated contents and to set up an easy to use content management system for our contributors. We selected WordPress for this project - this was largely a feature-driven technical decision defined by our need to include things like our del.icio.us links, RSS, SPAM controls, etc.
